Black Hills Power to close some offices

Black Hills Power is set to close several offices in response to less walk-in traffic.
Mark Theis, Black Hills Power director of operations, says walk-in traffic to customer service offices has decreased by 45% in recent years, while online interactions have increased by 40%.

Because of this, Black Hills Power will no longer offer walk-in customer bill payments in its Hot Springs, Deadwood, Belle Fourche and Newell facilities starting February 3.

Local personnel and operation support will remain intact at the Hot Springs and Deadwood facilities.
