People had a squawking good time Saturday making new bird friends.
Mt. Rushmore Birds held 'Birds and Blooms' again this year at the Jolly Lane Greenhouse.
This educational event gives both adults and children an up close look at all kinds of birds, including colorful parrots, clucking chickens, and tiny owls.
Barb Paur with Mt. Rushmore Birds says this year was packed with people, but it's the birds who have all the personality. "This is Juliet, she's about five. She's young and full of herself," said Paur. "It's like owning a three-year-old. You're chasing her around and she's getting into trouble," said Paur.
Paur says around 50 volunteers brought their birds for people to admire and learn about.
