Early Friday morning, shortly before 2 a.m. the Rapid City Police Department responded to 2130 N. Lacrosse Street, the Corner Pantry for a reported robbery.  Police arrived and stopped a male running from the business, carrying items from inside the store.  The suspect was identified as John Galligo (33) of Rapid City.

Galligo had entered the store, collected several items, approached the counter, and threatened the clerk by implying he had a weapon.  Galligo was taken into custody and questioned by detectives where he admitted to the robbery at 2130 N. Lacrosse.  Galligo also admitted to the robbery last Friday (1-17-14) at 4128 Jackson Boulevard.  At the time of arrest Galligo was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Galligo was charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Robbery, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and several active warrants.

This incident is not believed to be related to the robbery at 1808 Mt. Rushmore Road earlier in the evening.
