Update: pedestrian struck by car named, alcohol involved


A pedestrian, who had been drinking, was struck by car in Rapid City Saturday night.
The accident happened just after eleven in the area of Mt. Rushmore Road and Cathedral Drive.
Rapid City police Lt. Don Hedrick says 38 year old Loretta American Horse was wearing dark clothing and attempting to cross Mt. Rushmore Road when she was struck by car driven by a 23 year old Rapid City man.
American Horse was transported to the Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.

A car verse pedestrian collision Saturday night sends at least one to the hospital.

The incident happened around 11:15 p.m. on Mount Rushmore Rd.

At least one person was taken to the hospital. Condition unknown.
