Groups show off hobbies at Black Hills Hobby Expo

What do stamps, robots, and wood carvings have in common? They're all hobbies.
The 2014 Black Hills Hobby Expo took place Friday with hobby groups showing off their stuff to both adults and children.

Jim Tiller, director, says more hobby groups participated this year, and turn out from the public was really good.

Tiller says he wants the community to gain exposure to different hobbies and perhaps pick one up themselves. "All these individual groups would like to have new members, more members, and the key thing is to get kids interested in what we do," said Tiller.
Donations from the expo are given to the South Dakota Air and Space Museum for its science program for kids. This year the event raised $300.
