The bond amount won't change for a Kyle man charged with vehicular homicide. Jimmy Pilcher's attorney asked for a reduction to his client's $500,000 bond. The state opposed it, outlining Pilcher's criminal history, and pointing out that Pilcher was running from police when the crash happened. Seventh Circuit Judge Thomas Trimble agreed with the state, and kept the bond at half a million dollars.
Prosecutors say Pilcher caused the crash on East North and Spruce Streets that killed his passenger, Tamara Hunter, 40.
Also at Friday's hearing, Pilcher's attorney told the court that he is having his clients blood draw re-tested, calling it a "close" DUI case.
