Lottery CEO says tickets could go on sale by June

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) _ The new CEO of the Wyoming Lottery Corporation says tickets could go on sale in the state as early as June.
The Wyoming Tribune-Eagle reports Jon Clontz told members of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce on Friday the prediction is dependent on how much time is spent on contract negotiations and other factors.
Wyoming residents will be able to buy tickets for two types of multi-state games (Powerball and Mega Millions) but not instant-win games like scratch-off tickets.
The Wyoming Lottery Corporation is a quasi-government entity that operates as a private business and does not use any state tax money.
Gov. Matt Mead signed a bill last March that cleared the way to start the process of bringing lottery games to Wyoming.
