Seminars teach hunters about technology in Rapid City

With predator hunting season underway, one KOTA Territory store offered an all-day show and tell of hunting technology.
Dave Perfect, Cabela's hunt lead, says the store holds these seminars so people can gain awareness about predator hunting. He says these events teach people what they'll need to be successful and to have fun.

The morning brought out a crowd of people who were learning about new equipment and techniques, and also asking questions about their own equipment.

Seminar topics included basic essentials for hunting, calls and decoys gear tailored for women, education for youth, and firearms. Adults compared hunting gear while children played with the different types of calls.

Perfect says it's about educating people so they can leave the indoors behind. "Getting people outside and enjoying outdoors sports - that's the big goal of the seminars for us," said Perfect.
This was the first time this type of seminar was held that this particular Cabela's store in Rapid City.
