An organization devoted to helping less fortunate families received a generous gift from an area bank.
Rural America Initiatives got a $5000 grant from the First Interstate Bank Foundation Monday.
The group operates a number of programs designed to aid American Indian families in need.
Among them are Head Start and the Ateyapi program that provides mentorship to over 1,200 students.
Executive Director Bruce Long Fox says the money will help with those programs and general operating costs.
Ateyapi is currently trying to promote health and wellness by getting students physically active for at least 150 minutes per week.
