Police find burglary suspect through snow tracks


On Sunday Jan. 5 at approximately 5:00 a.m., Rapid City police officers responded to the Big D at 1515 Mt. Rushmore Road for a burglary.  Officers found the glass door to be smashed. 

Management arrived and confirmed that a significant amount of cigarettes, cigars, lighters, beef jerky, energy drinks and candy were stolen. 

Officers were able to determine the suspect(s) went to 612 Franklin Street by tracking footprints in the snow.  A search warrant was obtained for the residence and Detectives arrested Frankie Makes Room For Them, Age 20, from Rapid City for 3rd degree Burglary. 

The investigation is continuing.
