While charities around KOTA Territory give to those in need, many of them have wish lists of their own.
Wellspring is a charitable organization that helps adolescents with chemical abuse. The clinic can house up to 33 youth between the ages of 10 and 18. Next year they hope to improve accessibility to smaller more rural communities.
"In 2014, our big goal is to get out into our community and to the entire western South Dakota community. We are the only program that provides residential chemical dependency programming for adolescence in western South Dakota, as well as, the group care program for abused and neglected children," said Jessica Olson, Executive Director.
Another charitable organization, Youth and Family Services, hopes to help at least 12,000 children next year. They would like to expand from 850,000 meals this year to over one million next year.
The Club for Boys wants to expand middle and high school programs. They would also like to have closer relationships with parents, and get more ping pong tables, and power tools.
The Salvation Army needs more donations and staff.
All the organizations thank everyone for their generosity this year.
