A vote last night determined the fate of one KOTA Territory VFW, and in a turn of events, the entire FVW board resigned.
Members of the FVW Post 1273 in Rapid City voted Thursday night whether to sell the building, which houses a bar and a restaurant.
Dough Stulken, the former post commander, says more than 100 people voted and the outcome was to keep the building.
After the meeting, Stulken resigned. He says all other board members did too.
Stulken says he resigned because the FVW is going bankrupt, and it's too hard to manage. He added people just don't come to the meals anymore, and thousands of dollars are spent maintaining the building and paying for the utilities.
