Holiday coat drive looks to provide warmth to the less fortunate

Radio station employees and Harley Davidson team up with a local rescue mission to help provide for the less fortunate.

Friday, coats that have already been donated were sorted by gender and size in preparation for the annual Christmas event.

The Cornerstone Rescue Mission provides these coats to help needy families stay warm and have a little Christmas cheer sent their way.

KSLT station General Manager Tom Schoenstedt stressed that despite the number of donations that have come in so far, there is always a great need for warm clothing when colder weather sets in, "We are down a little bit from where we'd like to be, so we'd just like to encourage people to bring new or gently used coats down here to the cornerstone rescue mission thrift store. If any indication of what we've had the past few weeks as far as cold weather goes a lot of people are going to need it".

The coats and the opportunity to purchase goods from the thrift store will be sometime next week.
