Rally honors victims of DUI fatalities

An annual candlelight vigil honoring victims and the families of impaired driving was held tonight.

Dozens of spectators, survivors and victims of DUI related accidents gather at Central High School to share stories and pay tribute the lose who have been lost.

Many posted photographs of their loved ones while others shared their own personal experiences as a result of a drunk driver.

The event also served as an opportunity to honor law enforcement for their efforts in reducing a crime that claimed more than 45 lives last year in South Dakota.

According to mothers against drunk driving one of every three traffic deaths in the United States are alcohol related.
