Rancher Relief Fund gets big check from ethanol companies

Posted: Updated:

Ranchers are continuing to receive money for recovery after the early October blizzard, and lots of it.

Tuesday at the Stock Growers Association in Rapid City, the South Dakota Ethanol Producers Association announced a joint contribution of 80,500 to the South Dakota Rancher Relief Fund.

President of SDEPA, Dana Siefkes-Lewis says the contribution will hopefully not only alleviate some of the financial pain, but also le the ranching community know that the entire ethanol community stands with them during this difficult time.

The Rancher Relief Fund has now raised $2.3 million. The contributions have come from 4,000 different donors across the world.
