Slick roads, icicles and low temperatures did not keep people from getting out Wednesday. Most Rapid City residents continued on with their everyday lives.
"Yeah I don't mind the cold since I've lived here since 1958, I'm pretty much used to the cold winter's here," said Jim Dotson. He said he is just used to the weather.
"There's a bit of a wind chill here, but besides that it doesn't bother me that much," said Dotson.
For Kayla Kincaid, this weather is very inconvenient.
"I have a five month year old baby, I don't take him out in the cold a lot, he pretty much stays at the house, it's really hard to find someone to watch him all the time. But I got three kids and I only take one out at a time so they stay warmer," said Kincaid.
It was even too cold today for normal winter activities, like ice skating. The ice rink in Main Street Square will be closed until Friday. The Rapid City temperature range Wednesday was actually just 3 degrees.
