Ski season is here, the powder is fresh and the resorts are ready for skiers, snowboarders and tubers.
Stevens High school junior Nehiamiah Larimer says "it's been a long summer waiting for the snow its here and its great." Larimer and his friends have waited too long for ski season to begin. Brennan Lytle says "it feels great this summer we made some summer set ups but it just doesn't compare to be out on the actual mountain snow, especially with a bunch of fresh on the top."
That fresh snow is what the staff at Deer Mountain like at the start the season. Ski Mystic at Deer Mountain general manager Alicia Salis says "we got a lot of snow, our base is already there so we know we know we will hold the entire season."
it is looking to be a good season for the Ski Mystic Resort. Salis says "our season passes are about 200 percent what they were."
Those with their season passes or day passes will see some new features. "We've got a new terrain park that's very exciting, everyone's pretty happy to get in the terrain park, it features jumps, rails and our learning area has double inside" Salis says. These new features and fresh snow will have people skiing and boarding all day.
Terry Mountain Peak will begin their ski season December 7th.
