After seeing the devastation their eastern neighbors suffered, Wyoming ranchers are raising money to help those in South Dakota who lost livestock in last month's blizzard.
The South Dakota Rancher Relief Auction starts at 5:00 p.m. Saturday in the Cam-Plex in Gillette.
The event will include dinner, along with live and silent auctions.
Organizers say nearly 100 items were donated for auction because many area ranchers recognize how important it is to help out their neighbors.
"You ask them at brandings and you ask them for help at shipping. And that's how we survive is we help each other out. And this is such a huge thing in South Dakota and we just needed to be a neighbor to South Dakota and help them out," said organizer Amanda Geer.
All proceeds will go to the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association Rancher Relief Fund.
