You might be avoiding Jackson Boulevard while construction is happening but for those of you who simply can't avoid it, the construction on the road could be cleared up by the end of the year.
David Gustafson of Heavy Construction, the company contracted for the project, says their workers have been working 7 days a week, weather permitting, to meet the deadline at the end of 2013, when they hope the street will be driveable.
Right now they are finishing up underground utilities and repavement.
April and October's blizzards and heavy rains have held up the project, as well as redesigning and rerouting utilities.
Tim Smith part owner of Smith Liquor Gallery on Jackson Boulevard says their sales have been down by 20 percent since construction started. He believes it is because people are avoiding the construction area. He says "it would really help, really help my business and all the other businesses on Jackson Boulevard for them to get it done as soon as possible"
The entire project on Jackson Boulevard, is expected to be completed in June 2014.
