Rapid City teens raise money for critically injured friend

A car crash last month left Aaron Totten confined to a hospital bed. As he continues to recover, his friends are doing something special for him.

Aaron found himself fighting for his life after his Ford Expedition flipped and caught on fire, during a car collision on Elk Vale Road last month. He is still recovering at Rapid City Regional Hospital but he could be back home this week.

His friends are selling T–shirts and bracelets to help his family with medical bills and a new vehicle.

Aaron's girlfriend Ria Harper says this fundraiser was a way for their friends to help him through his recovery. "Aaron is so well known, you know, he plays football, basketball he's a really nice guy and everyone's friends with him and I know that everyone wants to help but they just don't know how, so I kind of thought of this idea, this is how they can help and support him"  she says.

T–shirts are20 dollars and the bracelets are five dollars.  You can order t-shirts or bracelettes by emailing teamtotten1@gmail.com
