Search continues for man accused in Rapid City motel shooting

Rapid City Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred at the Budget Host Inn last week. Tuesday police obtained an arrest warrant for suspect Francisco Bordier, age 18 of Rapid City, for aggravated assault.

At 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 25, police were called to 2401 Mount Rushmore Road for a report of shots fired. Officers found a 42-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported to the hospital.

Witnesses reported the victim was in a room with several people, including a woman. Bordier, the woman's son, came to the hotel room and got into an argument. He was told to leave. As he was leaving, he pulled out a handgun and fired at the victim.

Bordier fled, and police are still searching for him. Anyone with information on Bordier's whereabouts is urged to contact police at 394-4131 or send an anonymous tip by texting ‘RCPD' and the information to 847411. Investigation into this incident is continuing.
