A Kyle man accused of felony manslaughter is being held on $500,000 bond.
Jimmy Pilcher, age 36, appeared in front of Magistrate Judge Shawn Pahlke Friday (via closed circuit television) in a wheelchair. He was released from the hospital Thursday and is suffering from a broken pelvis.
Pilcher is charged with first degree manslaughter, aggravated eluding and drunk driving. He is accused of killing 40-year-old Tamera Hunter (and injuring others) on Oct. 11.
The accident happened during a police pursuit.
Judge Pahlke called Pilcher a flight risk and a danger to the community before setting bond.
Pilcher's family is seeking private council.
