Curbside pick up beginning as early as Monday for Rapid City residents

Posted:

For those of you in Rapid City waiting for curbside pick up, it is coming. As early as Monday, the city is hoping to begin picking up tree branches, limbs and other debris. The city wants to have everything collected in two to three weeks.

Public works director Terry Wolterstoff says because they have collected debris at the disposal sites they are now ready to move into curbside pick up. "We really going to transition from a situation where people are bringing their branches to drop off site to where we're encouraging people to just leave it at the curb and we will pick it up" he says.

Rapid City reminds residents not to block fire hydrants and mailboxes with debris.
