A pair of Rapid City men were arrested Tuesday night for crimes involving alcohol.
According to police spokesperson Tarah Heupel, police were called to West Chicago and Federal Avenue neighborhood about Crown Victoria doing cookies and driving recklessly. The driver, Richard Fidler, 20 of Rapid, was arrested for DUI.
Fidler told police that a man in a home on the 3000 block of St. Louis Street had just fired a shotgun at his vehicle, hitting the rear passenger door. The man, David Ooton, 24 of Rapid, was located with a loaded 12-gauge shotgun.
He was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm while intoxicated and aggravated assault.
