Zombies over run Deadwood for good cause

Deadwood was over run with zombies today. The first ever Walking Deadwood 5k Walk gave participants a chance to test their survival skills and give to charity. People came to run or walk a course riddled with the zombies.

The Northern Hills Alliance for Children hosted the event to raise money for their non profit organization. Kayla Klein the executive director for the organization is pleased with the first year's turn out. She said  "This is beyond belief amazing. We expected fifty runners and we ended up with probably 340. It's an amazing turnout"

It was Bob Dooley's first 5k run and he wasn't expecting it to be quite as difficult.     "The run was a lot of fun. It's a little more difficult than I expected with the obstacles and the snow and the tires and things like that so but it was a good time. I had a good time" Dooley said.

The zombie walk raised a projected 10,000 dollars for the Northern Hills Alliance for Children.
