The weekend blizzard left a big mess behind, and if you're anxious to get your yard cleaned up, there are a few places where you can take your debris.
In Rapid City on the west side, branches and yard waste can be unloaded directly onto the pavement at the overflow parking lot at Fitzgerald Stadium.
On the south side, residents can unload yard waste in the parking lot at the Fairmont Street yard waste site. North side residents can use the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center overflow lot.
The landfill will not be accepting yard waste due to construction.
In Sturgis, you can drop off debris at the dead end of 5th street next to the Sturgis Community Center and the paved area on South Baldwin just south of Anna Street.
The Officials with the city of Sturgis are asking property owners to not pile limbs and branches on the curbs, sidewalks and boulevards. The city will not be picking up branches from any location other than the designated drop off sites.
In Spearfish you can drop off all sizes of limbs at the BHSU dirt parking lot. The city park pavilion parking lot will accept smaller limbs. If you cannot haul your own limbs, you can stack limbs on the curbside for removal at no charge.
In Sheridan you can go to the usual yard waste sites, and if you can't transport your own limbs the city will pick them up.
