Black Hills Power (BHP) continues to work around the clock to restore to its customers.
Approximately 28,000 BHP households lost lights and heat because of heavy snow, broken branches and downed lines.
As of Sunday night at 8:00 p.m., power had been restored to more than 15,000 customers across the entire Black Hills Power service area.
As of 7:00 p.m., 14,000 customers remained without electric power.
Spokesperson, Mutch Usera says crews will regroup at 1:00 p.m. Monday, and a new assessment will be released.
Fifty-nine South Dakota National Guard soldiers are assisting Black Hills Power Crews.
A segment of West River Electric's power grid still isn't delivering consistent service which is affecting the operations of Rapid City Regional Airport - causing delays.
While the airport is open, passengers are advised to contact their airlines for further information.
