As more roads become available and the weather warms up, Fire Chief Mike Maltavern asks that people keep some safety tips in mind.
The damage to the trees has made them unstable and they can fall and cause injury to people who are around them.
The Fire Chief says he's received calls from people who have injured their backs or heads after falling off roofs while trying to clear the snow.
Some of the traffic signals in town are still not working so be careful - car accidents have been reported. A reminder that travel is still not advised.
People with heart conditions can hurt themselves lifting heavy snow. Maltavern recommends to just wait for the snow to melt.
Lastly, if you smell gas in your house, you need to ventilate it or leave the house if danger feels more immediate. Call 911 if you're not sure.
Maltavern adds if officials ask drivers to keep off the roads, please do so to keep it clear for emergency personnel.
