Fire officials mop up Skateboard Fire burning near Deadwood

Very high winds in the northern hills Monday caused a tree to fall on a powerline causing a small fire near the Deadwood skateboard park. Crews established a fire line around the fire.
The fire is in extremely rough terrain and is not threatening additional land at this time.
No structures are affected. The fire was reportedly about 70 percent mopped up as of Monday night. Crews will return to the scene Tuesday morning.
