Halloween is still more than a month away but that doesn't mean it's too early to get your pumpkin.
The Koltiska Pumpkin Patch opened a week ago just east of Sheridan.
Families can scour a five acre field in search of the perfect pumpkin. Many school field trips are made to the pumpkin patch as well. If the weather cooperates, the ranch will stay open through October 13.
The ranch owners, Vicki and Gary Koltiska say people come from as far as Gillette and Southern Montana to pick their pumpkin.
"The people and the community have been real supportive and seem to really enjoy it and that's because there's not the opportunity anymore. We've lost the farmers in the country," said Gary Koltiska.
The pumpkin patch is open from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and noon to 6:00 p.m. on weekends.
