People in Sheridan and some business owners are upset over where the city police are having patrol cars fixed.
Hail USA, based out of Missouri, is doing paintless dent repair on six police cars and sending those in need of major repairs to jack's auto body specialists.
Many people and local auto shop owners say city leaders preach "buying local," yet aren't holding up their end of the bargain.
Police say this move saved time and more than $10,000 of taxpayer money.
"Right now the local body shops are booked up until May. We had the opportunity to team up with Hail USA and a local body shop and get our repairs done in September," said Captain Scott Chandler.
"We travel all over the country and do this and we fix numerous government vehicles, city vehicles, county vehicles, and we never have really had this kind of exposure, said Hail USA sales manager Michael Cornelsion.
One local repair shop owner, Byran Bettcher of Xtreme Auto Body, questions the quality of work provided to the city and wants to know what corners were cut to get such low estimates.
