Jury finds Rapid City man guilty of distributing meth

A Pennington County jury returned a verdict finding James Louis Means, 26, Rapid City, guilty of one count of distribution of a controlled substance-methamphetamine. He was also found guilty of one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Both are punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine.

Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 5.

This case was investigated by the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team and was prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
