Box Elder car crash sends one person to the hospital

Early Monday afternoon, a three vehicle crash blocked traffic in Box Elder and caused one person to be sent to the hospital.    

The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 1416 and Radar Hill Road. Part of Highway 1416 was closed off to traffic and had to be detoured.

One person was injured with serious non life threatening injuries and taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital.  

There is going to be no investigation in the case. The driver who caused the accident was issued a citation for careless driving.
