Sunday afternoon, the Black Hills Chapter of the American Red Cross deployed an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) and a crew of two volunteers to assist in the response to the flooding in Colorado.
Red Cross volunteers Dave and Joyce Jeffries arrived in Colorado late Sunday night. The Emergency Response Vehicle is designed to support feeding operations, logistics, and other client services for those affected by the disaster.
Dave and Joyce are very experienced volunteers with many previous national disaster deployments.
The Rapid City ERV and crew will be deployed for
approximately three weeks.
