The streets of one historic town are alive again, with musical entertainment kicking off a weekend of jamming.
Amidst some rain and chilly temperatures, the 23rd annual Deadwood Jam started Friday with "The 55's."
Musical acts participating in the jam are diverse. Country Artist Morgan Frazier and Celtic Rock Group "The Young Dubliners" were also on the line up. The event continues Saturday with seven more bands playing throughout the evening, including "The Guess Who" and "Everclear."
Tickets are $65 and include all 10 bands. "Definitely the atmosphere. It's the end of the summer and you're gonna take in all you can," said Della Dotson, visiting Deadwood for the first time from Michigan. "I mean, 10 concerts in one venue for $65, you can't beat it."
The gates open Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and organizers say between 2,500 to 3,000 people are excepted to attend.
