Rapid City Rush G.M. Tim Hill resigns

The Rapid City Rush announced today that General Manager Tim Hill has resigned and Head Coach Joe Ferras will now assume the duties.

"It is with a heavy heart that I announce my resignation as General Manager of the Rapid City Rush," said Hill. "I have accepted a job in the oil and gas industry to get back to my home country of Canada to be closer to my family. I want to thank the Rush ownership group, staff, and fans for five memorable seasons. I feel that I am leaving the organization in great hands, and that it will continue to prosper for many years to come. I will miss the hospitality & beauty of the Black Hills, and the many great friends that I have made."

A news release from the Rush said that Hill was instrumental to the growth of the Rush organization. He began as Assistant General Manager during Rapid City's inaugural season before being promoted and leading the club through the 2010 championship in his first year as General Manager.

The Rush also announced some other promotions within the organization.
