Deadwood casino closing after 23 years

In one week, 30 people will be out of work in the gambling town of Deadwood.

Deadwood Mayor Chuck Turbiville confirmed the closure announcement of Miss Kitty's on Main Street, which occupies three buildings.

The 23-year-old establishment includes casinos in each building, which house 84 gaming devices, a Mexican restaurant and the Chinatown Cafe.

The property has not been purchased but remains for sale.

Turbiville says the city will help find someone to lease it.
