Dakota Country Living Expo aims to teach people to live the simple life

Country living has always been a staple for many of living in KOTA Territory.

With that lifestyle comes an independence commonly not seen in the city.

The 2nd Annual Dakota Country Lifestyles Expo at the Central States Fairgrounds is helping others understand and learn new ways to live a more independent life.

The event features over 40 vendors, seminars on topics like pasture management, country gardening & raising chickens, as well as a cook–off featuring Dakota made products.

Dakota Living Expo Organizer Mindy Huber says the appeal of the country lifestyle is very simple, "For most people it's being self sustainable, growing your own food, whether its animals or produce. Its knowing where your food comes from. It's a more peaceful lifestyle".
