A candidate for US Senate was in Rapid City to talk about why he's running. On Wednesday, at the Pennington County Republican Party Ambassadors' meeting South Dakota State Senator Larry Rhoden was the guest speaker.
Rhoden says he wanted to have a conversation with the crowd about what he believe the next US Senator should look like. He says there are many issues that need to be addressed at the national level.
"We have a national debt that is approaching 17 trillion dollars and no sign of anybody doing anything to stem that tide. The Obamacare, I think, is a huge game changer," Rhoden said.
Rhoden has been a South Dakota State Senator since 2008, before that he was a South Dakota State Representative.
