SD delegation undecided on Syria military strike

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) _ South Dakota's two U.S. senators have not yet decided whether to back President Barack Obama's proposed military strike against Syria, but the state's lone member of the House is leaning against approving such a move.
The president is seeking congressional approval of limited strikes in retaliation for the Syrian government's alleged use of chemical weapons in the country's civil war.
Sen. John Thune says the use of weapons of mass destruction warrants a response, but he is withholding judgment until he sees the president's final proposal.
A spokesman for Sen. Tim Johnson says Johnson is reviewing the Obama administration's evidence.
Rep. Kristi Noem says she is skeptical about the president's proposal, but she is reserving judgment until she sees a final version of a resolution authorizing military strikes.
