Many area campgrounds are reporting record setting numbers for this summer.
Custer State Park has been reporting very high numbers for campers all summer long, but what about other area resorts?
We went to Three Flags Campground in Blackhawk to see if their numbers matched, and they did.
Sharon and Randy Olson, owners of the resort say their numbers were way up in June and they even set records themselves in July.
They say there are two likely reasons, first they say people no longer complain about high gas prices, because they have leveled off.
And the second, there were a number of large RV rallies in the area this summer.
Both in Rapid City and Gillette.
The Olsons did say they were down in April, because of the massive amount of snow, and inability to open their water lines.
