The construction of the new student housing at the School of Mines is complete.
The ribbon was cut Thursday on the second of the two "Rocker Square" buildings.
The entire project cost around $17 million dollars and has over 250 rooms for students.
Construction on the building started in November of last year.
With the rapid expansion of the school, developer Hani Shafai says the need for more student housing and revitalization of the area played a very big part in need for the two buildings, "This block was really a bad block next to a school that is really one of the premiere schools in the nation, so we really want to enhance the surroundings of the school."
Construction on the first building started in March of 2012 and was finished in August of that year.
