Rapid City police arrest man for firing weapon, threatening girlfriend

Posted:

A Rapid City man faces charges for aggravated assault-domestic violence and possession of a loaded firearm while intoxicated.

Assistant Police Chief Karl Jegeris says 54-year-old Kevin Conway fired a handgun upward into the air while threatening to kill his girlfriend.  It happened just before midnight last night on Cameron Drive.  The girlfriend ran to her neighbors house where she called police.  She was transported by ambulance to RC Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A .32 caliber handgun was seized from the home.  Conway was arrested and placed at the Pennington County Jail.
