Commuters on both the north and west sides of Rapid City will be experiencing some delays beginning Monday.
The northern portion of Sheridan Lake Road at Jackson Boulevard will be closed as crews will be installing a water main, sewers and new pavement.
The intersection will operate like a tee with traffic being diverted onto 32nd Street and North Mountain View road.
The work is expected to take about a month to complete.
Road work will also continue on East North Street as well.
Grading, water main and sewer improvements that started august 19th will continue on the northern side of the project near Racine.
Concrete paving from east of Waterloo to the west side of project limits near Herman Street began Monday
Sidewalk and driveway approaches will continue to be poured throughout.
Both projects on east north are expected to wrap up by the 30th of August.
