As of Thursday, more than 400 cars were registered for Kool Deadwood Nites. By Sunday, between 500 to 600 cars are expected to be registered, bringing out first time car owners and veterans alike.
A sea of chairs packed Main Street Friday afternoon, as thousands of fans got ready for the entertainment Friday night. And just a block over, car owners showed off their prized possessions.
One car owner, Kelvin Hannah, says he brought "Estelle" for the first time to Deadwood.
He's a first time classic car owner and says he is having a blast meeting people during Kool Deadwood Nites. "Young guy growing up you always want to be that cool guy. Now I think I'm pretty cool right?" Hannah laughed. "And I'm surrounded by some cool guys as well."
The classic car judging begins Saturday at 8:00 a.m.
