The oil boom in North Dakota has created a business boom in Western South Dakota.
With the energy industry growing, many companies are expanding.
Texas based above ground storage and processing equipment manufacturer, Permian Tank and Manufacturing, Inc., will anchor a recently developed industrial park in Belle Fourche.
The company's expansion to the area will initially include a steel tank manufacturing facility.
The park offers both major highway access and railroad access and was chosen because of it's proximity to the Bakken fields.
The company hopes to create roughly 65 jobs from the project and hiring is scheduled to begin this Spring.
"We needed a good anchor business to establish that out there so we can expand off that and Permian is the perfect fit for that," said Belle Fourche Mayor, Gary Hendrickson.
Mayor Hendrickson went on to say that other industrial companies have also made the move to Belle Fourche due to its close proximity to the oil fields.
