Ever wanted to fly through the air but didn't have any wings?
The Central States Fair is helping people soar by bringing back a zip-line. The Buffalo Chip zip–line was brand new last year, and is at the fair again.
The ride starts on the fair midway and goes to the Soule Building. Riders must be over 60 pounds but under 250 to soar over fair-goers on a ride that lasts 800 ft. At take off, riders are 50ft in the air.
Sharon Ell, a Buffalo Chip employee, says the turnout this year is a little bit down from last year, so they are running specials during the day. Normally it's $15 a ride, but the special is $15 for two rides.
Two brave riders say they hope it's at the fair every year. "It was awesome!" said Aspen Silver. Her friend agreed. "Best thing ever at the fair!" said Aislinn Perkins.
Ell says she spoke with food vendors who also say sales are a little bit lower than last year.
