The South Dakota Board of Regents has approved the plans to build a new $11 million residence hall to replace aging housing.
The new 50,000 square foot building will feature four bedroom suites that will be home to 196 students.
Funding for the project will come from $8 million in revenue bonds, $2 million in cash reserves and $1 million in university funds.
"we've been fortunate on campus to see various upgrades in other buildings and we've been patiently waiting in the resident halls for equal upgrades," said Dean of Students, Michael Isaacson.
Pangburn Hall which is currently a residence hall will now be made into an office building.
