The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology has made international headlines and received famous celebrity endorsements for it's Nexus Biometric Smart pay.
Hollywood superstar Antonio Banderas, and Dutch Oil Tycoon Klaas Zwart, are backing the new smart pay system.
After a brief news conference, Antonio Banderas used Nexus for the first time, on the school's campus.
The biometric way of paying goes beyond just using a finger print to pay.
It reads multiple layers into the skin and detects hemoglobin in the blood.
Antonio Banderas spoke with KOTA about his first time using it, and says it sounds complicated, but is very easy.
"It's so easy to do, it was really great, all you need is your finger and I'm pretty sure no one forgets his finger," says Banderas.
The Nexus Smart Pay System is said to be foil proof, meaning your identity will never be stolen. And the best part? No carrying around credit cards or money.
