Mexicali Corn


2 TB butter
1/2 c onion, diced
1/2 c green pepper, diced
salt and pepper
1 c frozen corn
1/4 tsp garlic powder
several drops hot pepper sauce

Melt butter over medium-high heat. Saute onion and green pepper until softened. Season with salt and pepper. Add remaining ingredients and cook until corn is "al dente".

Serve immediately.

Variation: add 1 jar chopped pimientos for color, added flavor
